Biography
James Compton on Piano wouldn’t want to use a cheap trick like telling you that he started his career by playing with the great doowop band the “Darts”, and since then has worked with (amongst many others) Shakin’ Stevens, Glenn Campbell, Lenny Henry, Cliff Richard, Mica Paris and Robert Plant. No, all that he would want to say is that he has been playing boogie-woogie, blues and rock ‘n’ roll piano since the age of nine and that he has almost got it right now.
Tom Mansi on bass has had the pursuit of boogie-woogie foremost in his mind since time immemorial. As a session musician for greats like ‘60’s singer songwriter Donovan and film maker David Lynch Tom draws on the power of boogie at every turn. … and finally James Johnston on the drums has been bashing out that rocking bayoo beat since receiving his first drum kit at the age of two. As well as hitting the skins (hard) for the Boogies James also runs a premier boogie woogie help centre!
