Werner Kristiansen
Werner is a guitarist of great skill and talent, and although he is an absolute virtuoso on his instrument, he is often complemented on his sensitivity and ability to completely serve the music. In the years since relocating from Norway to London he has worked with a wide variety of artists, including Lily Allen, Athena, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, and performed throughout the UK, Europe, America and the Middle East. Werner will compliment any occasion with his infallible dexterity, coaxing melodies from every inch of the instrument. Playing from a wide range of genres, Werner’s expertise and experience allows him to always set the perfect tone.
Biography
Growing up in Norway and developing an acute passion and talent for the guitar, Werner soon built a reputation as being a musician of the highest calibre. Playing with national and international visiting artists he was frequently found performing at many of the major Scandinavian festivals and further developing his profession.
During Werner’s year of civilian national service he was invited to audition and later attend the prestigious Royal Academy of Music, which brought him to London in 1998 where be complete his jazz performance and composition degree and has remained.
